We are looking for motivated and dedicated people to join our team!
Windward is a true manufacturer of outdoor furniture 'Made in the USA' located at SRQ Airport.
Job Functions:
- Ensure that all manufactured components are consistent with the company's stated goals for quality and production compliance.
- Assemble parts to complete the final product according to quality standards and customer selections
- Visually inspect the quality of finished components to ensure the product meets specifications
- Transport materials in and out of the area according to production schedules
- Perform other related tasks, including but not limited to cleaning tasks necessary to keep the work area safe, clean, and organized.
Qualifications and attributes:
- Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and achieve goals
- Demonstrated ability to operate related machinery safely and productively
- Use and knowledge of manufacturing techniques
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques to maximize the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
- Communicate effectively with your co-workers, management, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Basic math skills required
- Ability to correctly read a tape measure
- Experience with cutting/table saws, screw gun, tape measure and other hand tools
- Carpentry experience/skills is an advantage
- Ability to read, write and understand English
Physical requirements:
- Sitting less than 1/3 of the day
- Standing more than 2/3 of the day
- Talking/Hearing regularly less than 2/3 of the day
- Arrive frequently during 1/3 to 2/3 of the day
- Using the hands to finger, manipulating, or feeling frequently for 2/3 of the day
- Frequently lift more than 25 pounds, occasionally more than 50 pounds
